It certainly wasn’t a cruel summer for Suki Waterhouse.
Not only did the Daisy Jones and the Six star open for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in August, she also welcomed her first child with fiancé Robert Pattinson earlier this year. On the red carpet of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards in New York—where the singer is set to present one of the night’s big awards—she raved about bonding with her baby girl.
“It’s just the greatest thing to go home every day and look into [her] little eyes,” Suki exclusively told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi at the Sept. 11 award show. “I’m just absolutely obsessed with her. She’s turning over, sitting up, trying to crawl, doing all the things.”
As for whether the six-month-old will eventually check out her dad’s filmography—including The Batman and the Twilight saga—the singer giggled, “That’s a long way in the future!” (For from the MTV VMAs, tune into E! News tonight, Sept. 11, at 11 p.m.)
In addition to Suki—whose second studio album Memoir of a Sparklemuffin drops Sept. 13—other stars set to present awards at the VMAs include Paris Hilton, Lil Nas X, Cyndi Lauper, Halle Bailey and more.
And when it comes to being part of Taylor’s sold-out Aug. 17 Eras Tour show, Suki had nothing but praise for her superstar pal.
“She’s just always been so supportive and such a great friend,” Suki said. “It was an insane thing to be part of that history-making tour.”
The singer is no stranger to the stage; just weeks after giving birth, she was performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival, where she revealed the sex of the baby to the crowd.
“I don't know if some of you know, but I had some big life changes happen recently, some pretty big events have been going down,” she told the audience, which included Pattinson and their little one. “I love amazing ladies and I've been very lucky to have my own little amazing lady and meet the love of my life.”
